If you get a daily or weekend newspaper chances are you are throwing out your free resource every day!  If you are really stuck for cash, you could fill out the ones in the magazine or newspaper at the coffee shop or waiting room!:

The gamers amongst you will enjoy the challenge of this.  A bit like gladiators for the brain.  A bit of fun! Many of the games are similar to Brain Training and Big Brain Academy on Nintendo DS.

This is an Australian based website by the Liptons Tea people to promote the brain enhancing properties of tea!  However, the games are really very good if you don't mind seeing the Liptons branding everywhere!

  1. Sharp Brains 

A selection of brain teasers listed in sections on what how they exercise the brain.  This website has quite a bit of information and research on the science behind exercising your brain.

  1. Brainwaves

If you like Sudoku, number or crossword type puzzles this will be up your alley. Has some interesting background information.  A limited selection of games, so you will go searching for me - but not a bad start for today!

  1. Games for the brain 

This is a very good set of games but alas no record of your scores. I haven’t tried it but you can also get some of the games optimized for mobile use on your cell or PDA.

  1. Miniclip Brain Training 

Most games are free on Miniclip – but you will need flash to run the games.

  1. Fit Brains 

This is a new program still in development.  The games are quite involved and take a bit of time both to do and to get used to.  Several different skills required. so will appeal to those who like something a little more involved.
